Tax Non-Deductible Expenses (corporate tax in UAE)
Expenses that are not related to the operations of the Taxable Person's Business
Expenses incurred in generating Exempt Income
Losses that are unrelated to or do not stem from the Taxable Person's Business
Any additional expenditures as may be determined by the Cabinet.
Following are the Non-Deductible Expenses
Shareholders' personal expenditures such as costs associated with international travel with family, family dining experiences, housing rent or grocery expenses, vehicle maintenance and repairs, as well as club membership fees, among others.
Expenses documented or provisions requested lacking a scientific foundation (such as 'Provision for Slow Moving' or 'Provision for Impairment Loss').
Bribes or other illicit payments
Expenditure for earning exempt/ non-taxable income
Donation and Gifts to entities other than a Qualifying Public benefit entity
Employers' contributions to a private pension fund on behalf of their employees that are either not disbursed during the Tax Period or exceed 15% of the employee's total compensation for that specific Tax Period.
Administrative Fines and penalties (including RTA fines, VAT penalty and VAT interest etc.).
Prior period expenses i.e. expense not pertaining to current year but pertains to the earlier tax periods.
Corporate taxes paid
Recoverable VAT
Distributions of dividends, profits, or similar benefits provided to shareholders.
